Fat’s is so much more than your average Chinese restaurant. The definition of family friendly is Fat’s! With large portions and a wheel in the table, everyone gets their fair share of everything! Don’t forget to make a wish and toss a penny into the golden Buddah on your way out. 

4. Friends with Benedicts

Specialty: Breakfast 

World’s best gravy! You can’t go wrong with anything smothered in gravy with a bonus of country potatoes or hashbrowns (with most entrees). To top it off, enjoy a massive mimosa! Friends with Benedicts is famous throughout Folsom for its insane sized mimosas. If you’re looking for a light breakfast, they can cater to that too! The avocado toast will energize you for the day. 

5. Thai Paradise

Specialty: Thai Cuisine

Whether you’re looking to dine in or take out, Thai Paradise hits the spot! Various appetizers, noodles and curries make it so there’s something everyone can enjoy. Make sure to pop in for lunch for a complimentary salad with fantastic peanut dressing. 

6. Scott’s Seafood Roundhouse

Price: $$$

Specialty: Classic Seafood

If you’re looking for an ambiance that is of superb elegance with a view of Lake Natoma, then you’ve found the right place. Scott’s Seafood offers an assortment of seafood delicacies, a fan favorite being the oysters. Savor a glass of house chardonnay paired with a lovely cheese plate out on the patio. When you visit Scott’s you’ll hope the evening doesn’t have to end.

7. Zocalo

Specialty: Mexican 

Taco Tuesday Alert!! The best tacos in Folsom, oh and don’t forget the margaritas. Seven various margaritas! If you didn’t like margaritas with your tacos before… well you do now! If you’re looking to have a full belly and a good time, Zocalo is it. 

8. The Waffle Experience

Specialty: Brunch

If waffles are your go to breakfast then you won’t be disappointed. Experience sweet AND savory waffles! Full of flavor and fusions you wouldn’t expect. The Waffle Experience is definitely a place you need to try at least once! 

9. Chicago Fire

Price: $$

Specialty: Casual Pizzeria 

Good ol Chicago Fire, pizza can never disappoint. You better be hungry because the deep dish pizza will fill you up! Big groups are always welcome, the staff is used to handling big groups and being on top of everyone’s order. Large pizzas and salads make it the easiest place in Folsom to have a larger dinner party.

10. Mexquite

Specialty: Family Owned Mexican

Aren’t family owned restaurants just the best?! There’s something about the environment that screams welcome! The meal starts off enjoying the house chips and salsa with friends and family. Enchiladas are a must at Mexquite! Don’t forget dessert, the bunuelos melt in your mouth and will leave you with a smile.
